On 26 May 2020, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (“MLVT”) issued a notification on financial support for 33,231 suspended employees (“Employees”) in 111 factories and establishments in the garment and tourism sectors.

During the difficult time of the Covid-19 crisis, businesses in Cambodia may have a number of options to manage their operation including but not limited to work suspension, use of annual leave, use of unpaid leave, and employment termination.
